Canada Secures 27 Medals in Historic Paris 2024 Olympics Performance
Aug 11, 2024, 09:01 AM
Canada has achieved its most successful performance at a non-boycotted Summer Olympics during the Paris 2024 Games, securing a total of 27 medals. This accomplishment surpasses previous records for the country in Summer Games, marking a historic moment for Team Canada. The 27 medals include various gold, silver, and bronze awards, contributing to Canada's second-highest medal count in its Olympic history, only behind the 1984 Los Angeles Games, which were boycotted by several countries. At 26 medals, Team Canada tied the totals of Vancouver 2010 and Beijing 2022 for second-most ever, with the record being 29 in Pyeongchang 2018.
