This accomplishment surpasses previous records for the country in Summer Games, marking a historic moment for Team Canada. The 27 medals include various gold, silver, and bronze awards, contributing to Canada's second-highest medal count in its Olympic history, only behind the 1984 Los Angeles Games, which were boycotted by several countries.
