Ukraine Intercepts 72 of 76 Russian Drones, Missiles in Overnight Attack Targeting Kyiv

Russian forces launched a significant drone attack against Ukraine, deploying 76 Shahed drones overnight. Ukrainian air defenses successfully intercepted 72 of these drones, while two were locationally lost and two returned back to Russia. The attack targeted 12 regions in the center, south, and east of Ukraine, including Kyiv. Additionally, Russian forces launched three missiles and 14 attack drones, with one missile and 10 drones intercepted. Over the past week, Russia has intensified its offensive, launching around 30 missiles, over 800 guided aerial bombs, and nearly 300 strike drones, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Ukraine continues to call for robust support from its international partners to bolster its air defense and long-range capabilities.
