Russia and Ukraine Down Each Other's Drones, Zelensky Calls for International Support

Overnight, both Russia and Ukraine engaged in significant drone warfare. Russian air defense systems destroyed 15 Ukrainian drones, with 13 downed over the Black Sea, and one each over the Kursk and Belgorod regions. Meanwhile, Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 56 out of 108 drones launched by Russia, with another 72 drones failing to reach their targets due to electronic warfare, and three returning to Russian territory. The debris from the downed drones caused damage to infrastructure, apartment buildings, homes, and cars in several Ukrainian regions, including Chernihiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced these attacks as another night of 'Russian terror,' emphasizing the need for international support and air defense systems like the Patriot to counter such threats. Five drones were destroyed over the Belgorod region, and one drone each was intercepted over Belgorod and Kursk.
