Following the Heat's loss to the Indiana Pacers, Butler indicated he may not find that joy in Miami, responding "Probably not" when asked if he could get it back with the team. He added that he's happy off the court but wants to be "back to somewhat dominant." According to reports from ESPN's Brian Windhorst and Shams Charania, Butler has requested a trade from the Heat and is open to playing anywhere other than Miami, without providing a list of preferred destinations. He believes he can make any team a contender.
