Disney+ has canceled 'The Acolyte,' a live-action Star Wars series, after just one season. The show, which starred Amandla Stenberg and was directed by Leslye Headland, focused on the rise of the Sith approximately 100 years before the events of 'Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.' Despite a strong start with 4.8 million views on its first day and 11.1 million views after five days, the series failed to maintain momentum, dropping out of the Top 10 in its third week. Lucasfilm decided not to proceed with a second season.
