Health officials have confirmed that at least 104 people have been infected with the outbreak strain of E. coli O157:H7, which has been linked to McDonald's Quarter Pounder hamburgers. The outbreak, traced back to slivered onions served on the burgers, has affected individuals across 14 U.S. states. New Mexico officials have reported 10 cases linked to this outbreak. Of the 104 infected, 34 have been hospitalized. Officials are continuing to test other E. coli cases to determine if they are part of this outbreak.
