China's National Bureau of Statistics has revised its 2023 GDP to 129.4 trillion yuan ($17.73 trillion), reflecting an increase of 3.4 trillion yuan, or 2.7%, from the previous estimate. This revision was announced on December 26, 2024, and is based on the results of the fifth National Economic Census. The Deputy Director of the Statistics Bureau indicated that this revision is not expected to significantly impact the GDP growth for 2024.
