The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has established the Low-Altitude Economy Development Division to coordinate policies, plans, and infrastructure development. This move is part of China's strategy to foster new growth drivers amid economic stagnation caused by prolonged real estate downturns. The low-altitude economy is projected to reach a market size of 2 trillion yuan (approximately 42 trillion yen) by 2030. The NDRC's new department has been actively engaging in symposiums to advance the construction of low-altitude infrastructure and intelligent network systems.
