Tesla Introduces Low-Voltage Connector Standard to Reduce EV Costs from 200 to 6 Connections

Tesla has introduced a new Low-Voltage Connector Standard (LVCS) aimed at reducing the cost and complexity of electronics in the automotive industry. This initiative invites all device suppliers and automotive manufacturers to adopt the standard, which simplifies the vast array of connectors used in electric vehicles (EVs). Currently, a typical EV utilizes over 200 connections; the LVCS reduces this to just six types of connectors.
