Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler announced that Türkiye has neutralized 2,939 terrorists since the beginning of 2024, including operations in northern Iraq and Syria. During a year-end evaluation meeting, Güler emphasized that Türkiye has no issues with Kurdish individuals living in these regions, stating, "Our problem is only, solely with terrorists." He reiterated the government's commitment to preserving Syria's territorial integrity and completing a peaceful political process while removing terrorist elements from the border. Additionally, Güler noted that 99 terrorists surrendered to Turkish authorities within the same timeframe.
