Developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs (Sony BSL), a joint venture with Startale Group Pte. Ltd., Soneium aims to simplify blockchain interactions for creators and fans. The platform, which follows a four-month test period that attracted over 14 million users and processed 47 million transactions, is designed to support a diverse ecosystem of applications in gaming, finance, and entertainment. Soneium leverages the OP Stack and Superchain architecture from the Optimism Foundation, positioning itself as a blockchain that evokes emotion and empowers creativity. Sony BSL plans to explore new frameworks for protecting creator rights and ensuring equitable value distribution between creators and fans, bridging the gap between Web2 and Web3.
