Ontario Signs $100M Deal with Starlink to Connect 15,000 Remote Homes

The Government of Ontario has signed a $100 million deal with Elon Musk's Starlink system to bring high-speed internet to remote areas. This partnership, known as the Ontario Satellite Internet (ONSAT) program, aims to deliver high-speed satellite internet to 15,000 homes and businesses in remote and northern areas of Ontario. This initiative is part of Ontario’s broader $4 billion plan to enhance connectivity across the province. The cost per premise is estimated at $6,700.
