India's Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) has approved a plan to launch 52 satellites, at a cost of Rs 27,000 crore (approximately $3.2 billion), to enhance space-based military surveillance capabilities. The constellation will include satellites in low-earth orbit and geostationary orbit, with at least 31 satellites to be built by the private sector. This initiative aims to significantly boost India's military satellite capabilities and improve space surveillance.
