Eminem's Mother Debbie Nelson, Subject of His Songs, Dies at 69

Debbie Nelson, also known as Debbie Mathers, the mother of rapper Eminem, died on Monday, December 2, 2024, in Missouri at the age of 69 after a battle with advanced lung cancer. Nelson, who was the subject of many of Eminem's songs due to their turbulent relationship, had reconciled with her son in recent years. This reconciliation was reflected in Eminem's song 'Headlights.' Nelson had congratulated Eminem on his 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.
