Texas Awards Purple Star Designation to 541 Schools for 2024-25, Marking 202% Increase

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that 541 Texas public schools have been awarded the Purple Star Campus Designation for the 2024-25 school year. This marks a 202% increase from the previous year. The designation recognizes schools for their dedication to meeting the unique educational needs of nearly 200,000 military-connected students and their families. Notably, all 11 campuses of Copperas Cove ISD have received the designation, making it one of 13 school districts in Texas to achieve 100% Purple Star status. Among the recipients are nine schools in Hutto.
