May 29, 2024, 10:29 AM
Israeli National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi has announced that the fighting in Gaza is expected to continue for at least another seven months, potentially extending throughout 2024. Hanegbi, who serves under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, also stated that Israel now controls 75% of the Philadelphi corridor, a critical buffer zone on the Gaza-Egypt border. This area, also referred to as the Rafah border area, is strategically significant for both military and security operations.
