Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved the federal budget for 2025, which includes a significant increase in defense spending. The budget allocates 13.5 trillion rubles (approximately $145 billion) to national defense, representing about 32.5% of the total budget. This marks a 24.4% increase in military expenditure compared to the previous year. The budget for 2025 also includes planning for the years 2026 and 2027.
