VisitVulnerabilities in Dating Apps Including Bumble and Hinge Allowed Precise User Location Tracking
Jul 31, 2024, 11:01 AM
Researchers have discovered that vulnerabilities in popular dating apps Bumble, Hinge, Badoo, Grindr, happn, and Hily allowed malicious users to pinpoint the exact locations of users down to two meters. This issue was attributed to a design flaw in the 'filters' feature, which utilized the precise location of users. The flaw has since been addressed and fixed by the app developers.
