Florida Attorney Pleads Guilty to Bombing Attempts in D.C. and San Antonio Using Rifle
Aug 2, 2024, 08:11 PM
A Florida attorney has pleaded guilty to attempting to detonate explosives near the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C., and to his involvement in a bombing at the Texas Public Radio headquarters in San Antonio in 2022. The lawyer admitted to trying to blow up a portion of a wall outside the Chinese Embassy in September 2023, using a rifle. He also confessed to detonating an explosive under a sculpture of communist leaders Vladimir Lenin and Mao Zedong, known as the 'Miss Mao' statue, in downtown San Antonio. The U.S. Attorney's Office confirmed the plea on Friday.
