Sphere Entertainment to Build Sphere Abu Dhabi, Mirroring Las Vegas Venue

Sphere Entertainment, the company behind Las Vegas' Sphere, has announced plans to build a second venue named Sphere Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi. The new venue is expected to mirror the 20,000-capacity Sphere in Las Vegas, serving as a landmark addition to the city and elevating the entertainment landscape. Abu Dhabi will fund the construction and pay Sphere a franchise fee for the use of the company's designs, technology, and intellectual property, allowing Sphere to generate revenue from day one. The CEO stated, "We are proud to collaborate with DCT Abu Dhabi to develop Sphere in their city." While no target date for construction or opening has been revealed, the Abu Dhabi Sphere marks the company's expansion into new markets.
