Hut 8 and Bitmain have announced a partnership to launch the new ASIC miner U3S21EXPH, featuring direct liquid-to-chip cooling technology. This next-generation miner is designed to boost the hash rate by 80%, reaching 33.5 EH/s by mid-2025. The new miner, which operates at 860 TH/s with an efficiency of 13 J/TH, aims to enhance profitability in the Bitcoin mining industry. Despite the innovative technology, miners are still grappling with declining revenues post-halving. The collaboration also marks a significant advancement in the mass-commercialization of mining equipment and includes an AI push.
