PM Modi was warmly received by Kuwait's Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah. During his visit, Modi held his first meeting with the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah, and elevated bilateral relations to a strategic partnership. The leaders discussed cooperation in key sectors including pharmaceuticals, information technology, fintech, infrastructure, and security. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar exchanged memorandums of understanding with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, in the presence of both leaders. The MoUs signify a significant step forward in strengthening ties. Modi also met with Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, further solidifying the relationship between India and Kuwait.
