U.S. Justice Department Seizes 32 Russian Internet Domains Used for 2024 Election Interference
Sep 4, 2024, 05:39 PM
The U.S. government has seized 32 internet domains used by the Russian government and sponsored actors to influence U.S. public opinion, according to a court filing. The Justice Department announced that these domains were part of a Russian election interference campaign directed by the Russian Presidential Administration to influence the 2024 election. The campaign, conducted by a Russian company named 'Social Design Agency,' aimed to convince the U.S. public that the United States should not fund the war in Ukraine. Criminal charges have been filed against two Russians in connection with this interference effort. The affidavit used in the case has been made available.
