Tesla is set to begin operations at its new Megapack factory in Shanghai, with construction expected to be completed by the end of 2024. The facility, which will produce energy storage systems, is designed to double Tesla's global battery energy storage capacity to 80 GWh. Production is slated to commence in the first quarter of 2025, with an initial output of 10,000 units annually. In addition, Tesla has reportedly signed an agreement with Eve Energy, which will become its sixth battery supplier.
