VisitTesla Recalls 1.68 Million Vehicles in China Due to Safety Hazards, Including Lock Issue
Aug 6, 2024, 02:19 PM
Tesla is recalling 1,683,627 vehicles in China due to safety hazards, including lock and hood issues, according to the Chinese state market regulator and CCTV. The recall affects both imported and domestically made models, including the Model S, Model X, Model 3, and Model Y. The vehicles were produced between October 2020 and July 2024. Tesla will address the issue through an over-the-air software update, eliminating the need for a service center visit. The recall is the largest Tesla has faced in China.
