A Chinese naval survey ship entered Japanese territorial waters off Kagoshima Prefecture on Saturday, as reported by Japan's Defense Ministry. The vessel was detected around 6 a.m. local time and exited by 7:53 a.m. The incident prompted intelligence gathering and surveillance operations by Japan's Maritime Self-Defense Force vessels and aircraft.
