China has expressed deep condolences following the death of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, who passed away at the age of 100. Chinese President Xi Jinping extended his condolences to U.S. President Joe Biden, highlighting Carter's role as a promoter and decision-maker in the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States in 1979.
