Oregon Removes 1,200 Non-Citizens from Voter Rolls, Nine Voted
Sep 24, 2024, 01:09 AM
Oregon election officials have removed 1,200 people from the voter rolls after it was discovered that they had been wrongly registered to vote through the DMV despite not providing proof of citizenship. Initially, it was estimated that over 300 non-citizens were registered, but the number was later confirmed to be nearly 1,300. Out of these, 1,259 non-citizens were identified, and nine of them had actually voted. This issue was identified among more than 3 million registered voters in the state.
