Oregon Removes Over 1,260 Non-Citizens from Voter Rolls
Sep 24, 2024, 12:32 PM
Oregon election officials have removed over 1,200 people from the state's voter rolls after determining they did not provide proof of U.S. citizenship when they were registered to vote. This action follows an audit by the Oregon DMV, which revealed that more than 1,260 non-citizens were mistakenly registered to vote, a figure four times higher than initially estimated. ODOT Director Kristopher Strickler stated that corrective actions have been implemented to ensure the data processing error will not impact the 2024 election or future elections.
