The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has taken disciplinary action following the tragic deaths of three IAS aspirants at a coaching centre in Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi on July 29. The incident, which involved the flooding of a basement, led to the termination of Junior Engineer Vishnu Mittal and the suspension of Assistant Engineer Vishram Meena for killer negligence. MCD Commissioner Ashwani Kumar announced the measures and stated that an explanation has been sought from the concerned Executive Engineer. The crackdown follows a campaign highlighting lapses in safety and management at the coaching centre.
