In a dramatic incident at a pre-trial detention center in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, six prisoners, reportedly affiliated with ISIS and previously convicted on terrorist charges, took two prison employees hostage. The detainees, armed with knives and other implements, demanded a vehicle and weapons in exchange for the hostages. The Russian special forces, including riot police, responded by storming the detention center, resulting in the elimination of the hostage-takers. The hostages were released unharmed.
