OpenAI Rolls Out 'Tasks' Beta in ChatGPT for Subscribers, Enabling Scheduled Reminders
Jan 14, 2025, 07:29 PM
OpenAI has launched 'Tasks', a new beta feature in ChatGPT powered by the GPT-4o model that enables users to schedule future actions and reminders. Rolling out globally to ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Pro subscribers starting today, Tasks allows users to set one-time or recurring reminders and automate future tasks within the platform. Users can manage up to ten active tasks through chat threads or a dedicated tasks page. The feature is available across ChatGPT Web, iOS, Android, and macOS, with Windows support expected in the first quarter of 2025. OpenAI's introduction of Tasks is viewed as a step towards more agentic AI systems, positioning ChatGPT closer to traditional digital assistants like Google Assistant or Siri but with the advanced capabilities of ChatGPT.
