Hezbollah Launches Over 150 Rockets at Northern Israel in Retaliation, No Casualties Reported
Sep 20, 2024, 10:53 AM
Hezbollah has launched a series of rocket barrages into northern Israel over the past few days. On September 18, approximately 10 rockets were fired from Lebanon, landing in open areas without causing injuries. On the same day, another barrage of 20 rockets targeted Kiryat Shmona, with some rockets intercepted by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). No injuries were reported in this attack either. The situation escalated on September 20, when Hezbollah launched over 150 rockets in multiple barrages, primarily targeting the city of Safed and the Golan Heights. Despite the intensity of the attacks, there have been no reported casualties. The IDF confirmed that some of the rockets were intercepted, and minor damage was reported in some areas. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attacks, stating they targeted Israeli military bases. The escalation follows a vow by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah to retaliate against Israel for a mass bombing attack.
