Severe flash floods triggered by heavy seasonal rains have resulted in a devastating impact in northern Afghanistan, particularly in the Baghlan province. According to various official sources, including the United Nations and the Afghan Ministry of Interior, the death toll has surpassed 200. Initial reports indicated that at least 50 people had died, but the numbers quickly escalated as more information became available. The floods have also caused significant damage to homes and properties across several districts in the region.
