A major incident has been declared in Southport, UK, following a mass stabbing that left multiple casualties, including children. The incident occurred at a property on Hart Street around 11:50 AM local time. Armed police have detained a man and seized a knife. Emergency services, including 15 ambulances and an air ambulance, responded to the scene. Eight people have been treated for stab injuries and transported to hospitals, including Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Aintree University Hospital, and Southport and Formby Hospital. Reports indicate that six children were among the victims, with one child confirmed dead and 10 others injured. Authorities have stated there is no wider threat to the public.
