A conflict has erupted in the Klimovsky district of the Bryansk region, Russia, which borders Belarus. Reports indicate that Ukrainian forces attempted to penetrate the region, engaging in battles with Russian forces. The Russian Bryansk Governor Aleksandar Bogomaz confirmed the incident, stating that the FSB Border Guard and Russian Armed Forces successfully thwarted the breakthrough attempt by Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups. The attempted incursion reportedly involved light armored vehicles, including three BMP IFVs and around 200 troops, and was repelled between 19:00 and 21:00 on August 21. The situation has since been stabilized according to Russian officials. The clash also occurred near the settlement of Zabrama.
