IDF Finds Weapons, Explosives in UNRWA Bags Near Rafah School
Aug 22, 2024, 12:08 PM
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have uncovered a significant cache of weapons and explosives near a school compound in Rafah. During intelligence-based operations, troops from the Nahal Brigade and the 50th Battalion discovered rifles, explosives, military vests, and intelligence documents, some of which were hidden in bags marked with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) logo. The operation also uncovered a poster of Hamas founder Sheikh Yassin. The discovery raises concerns about the use of educational facilities for storing weapons and the involvement of UNRWA-marked materials in militant activities.
