11 to 13 Stranded Tubers Rescued from Provo River Island
Aug 18, 2024, 12:00 AM
A group of 11 to 13 stranded tubers were rescued from an 'island' in the Provo River, located about a half-mile east of Vivian Park. The Utah County Sheriff's Office coordinated the rescue operation, which involved the Utah County Search and Rescue, North Fork Fire Department, and other fire agencies from northern Utah County. The individuals, who were tubing on the river, became stranded due to concerning water conditions. Fire personnel waded through shin-deep water to safely bring them back to shore.
