Canada has announced a significant investment of C$120 million ($88.2 million) to build a national chip network and support semiconductor startups. The funding, spread over five years, aims to enhance the country's semiconductor sector, enabling it to compete more effectively on a global scale. The initiative, known as the FABrIC initiative, is powered by CMC Microsystems and funded by the Government of Canada.
