US Denies Ukraine Permission to Use ATACMS Missiles Against Russia, Says Lloyd Austin
Oct 23, 2024, 08:03 AM
The United States will not grant Ukraine permission to strike Russia with long-range ATACMS missiles, according to US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. Austin stated that the Russian Aerospace Forces have already moved their aircraft out of the range of these missiles, making such strikes ineffective. This decision comes despite requests from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to lift the restrictions on the use of ATACMS missiles. Jen Griffin questioned why President Biden and Austin continued to reject Zelensky's requests.
