Israeli Air Force Strikes 100 Hezbollah Launchers, 1,000 Barrels in Southern Lebanon
Sep 19, 2024, 06:23 PM
The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has conducted a series of intense airstrikes against Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. The strikes targeted multiple towns including Chihine, Tayibe, Blida, Meiss El Jabal, Aitaroun, and Kfarkela, as well as a weapons depot in Khiam. The operation, which spanned several days, saw the destruction of approximately 100 Hezbollah rocket launchers and 1,000 launch barrels that were primed for immediate attacks on Israel. Earlier strikes had already targeted 30 Hezbollah rocket launchers and 150 launch barrels. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that the airstrikes also targeted Hezbollah military infrastructure and rocket launchers, significantly disrupting the group's capabilities. This escalation comes amid heightened tensions and increased rocket and drone attacks by Hezbollah on Israeli communities.
