Iran's IRGC Arrests 12 Across Six Provinces for Alleged Collaboration with Israel
Sep 22, 2024, 05:15 PM
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the arrest of 12 individuals across six different provinces, accusing them of collaborating with Israel and planning actions against Iran's security. The IRGC claims that the arrested individuals were operatives working with the Israeli Mossad and were involved in plotting anti-security operations within Iran. The IRGC-affiliated Tasnim News reported that the suspects were part of a dismantled espionage cell and were described as 'mercenary elements and collaborators.' According to the IRGC, these operatives were planning sabotage operations aimed at destabilizing security within Iranian territory. The state-affiliated ISNA News Agency reported that the spies will be executed.
