Queens Father Arrested for Allegedly Trying to Drown Two Children at West Haven Beach

A Queens father was arrested after allegedly attempting to drown his two young children at a beach in West Haven, Connecticut early Saturday morning, police say. Police officers responded to screams from the water and found the man drifting further out with the children, evidently attempting to drown them. The children, both under the age of three, were hospitalized and are currently in the intensive care unit.
