Oklahoma Gov. Stitt to Deport Over 500 Undocumented Inmates, Saving $1 Million Monthly
Nov 16, 2024, 09:46 PM
Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt announced that the state will begin implementing a deportation plan in alignment with President-elect Donald Trump’s immigration policies. The program, set to start in January 2025, aims to transfer over 500 undocumented inmates from state prisons to ICE custody. This initiative is expected to save Oklahoma taxpayers approximately $1 million per month. The state intends to be among the first to support Trump’s mass deportation efforts by turning over 526 criminal illegal immigrants currently held in its prisons. Former ICE Director Tom Homan is involved in the plan.
