UnitedHealthcare CEO Killed; Suspect Mangione Arrested with 3D-Printed Gun
Dec 12, 2024, 02:02 AM
UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was shot and killed in New York City last week. The suspect, 26-year-old Ivy League graduate Luigi Mangione, has been apprehended in Pennsylvania and is fighting extradition to New York on murder charges. New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch confirmed that a 3D-printed gun found on Mangione matches shell casings found at the crime scene. Fingerprints from a water bottle found near the scene also match Mangione's. Authorities are investigating a manifesto allegedly written by Mangione, the full text of which has been released by a journalist. A hotel clerk described Mangione as 'cagey' when he sought a room shortly after the incident. Mangione had reportedly posted on Reddit about health issues, including back pain and spinal surgery.
