Homan Warns Denver Mayor of Jail Over Deportations, Plans UN Investigation on Border Crisis

Tom Homan, President-elect Donald Trump's pick for border czar, has warned that mayors and governors who obstruct federal immigration enforcement efforts could face legal consequences, including jail time. In remarks, Homan specifically mentioned Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, who has vowed to protect migrants in his city, stating he is willing to put Johnston in jail over his refusal to cooperate with mass deportations. Homan emphasized, "Do not harbor and conceal an illegal alien... because it is a crime. Don't impede us because it's a crime. Don’t obstruct because it's a crime." He also announced that the incoming administration, set to take control on January 20th, plans to investigate foreign countries, the United Nations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for their alleged roles in contributing to the U.S. border crisis. He highlighted that gangs like Tren de Aragua are "on notice" and that people will be held accountable, asserting that law and order will be restored.
