Texas Land Commissioner Offers 1,402-Acre Starr County Ranch to Trump for Mass Deportation Plan
Nov 20, 2024, 05:17 PM
Texas has offered the incoming Trump administration a 1,402-acre ranch in Starr County along the U.S.-Mexico border to support its planned mass deportation operation. Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham sent a letter to President-elect Donald Trump proposing to lease the recently acquired land to serve as a deportation hub. The facility would aid in processing, detention, and coordination of the largest deportation of illegal immigrants in U.S. history. The operation is expected to involve former ICE Director Tom Homan. Buckingham stated that Texas is '100% on board' with aiding federal efforts to address illegal immigration.
