Former New York City Department of Education CEO of School Support Services, Eric Goldstein, has been sentenced to a lenient two years in prison for corruption and bribery. Goldstein accepted nearly $100,000 in bribe payments from three business owners. U.S. Attorney Peace stated that Goldstein abused his high-ranking position, pursuing lucrative bribes at the expense of school children, many of whom rely on healthy meals provided by the Department of Education.
