South African police have arrested 95 Libyan nationals at a suspected illegal military training camp in White River, Mpumalanga, on July 26. The Libyans, who entered the country on study visas purportedly to train as security guards, were found at a farm that had been converted into a military training base. Authorities, including Home Affairs officials, are investigating potential links to other criminal activities. The Libyan nationals are being processed for repatriation back to Libya. Mpumalanga police spokesperson Donald Mdhluli provided further details on the operation.
